How many of us are the “outliers” in our friend groups? We’re the ones who scold our friends for buying bottled water and the ones who are constantly convincing our family members, “compost really isn’t that smelly…” We try [mostly unsuccessfully] to get our friends to join our mini cleanups around our neighborhoods or local business shopping trips instead of going to Target. I have bad news for us: it’s going to get worse before it gets better.
Transitioning to a more conscious lifestyle isn’t easy for the rest of the world. We are early adopters, first movers, innovators that are leading the way to a more inclusive world (that will live longer than currently projected).
We believe in the triple bottom line business movement. We believe in going out of our way to support and celebrate businesses that operate outside the traditional business box. We want to encourage business that have installed solar panels, are offering their servers dental insurance, or sponsoring community volunteering opportunities. If you’re reading this, chances are you already know about these businesses. They exist and they thrive! But we need you to help spread the word. Shout from the rooftops (or your FB page), “These businesses need our support!”
Join the movement.
